About CBIA:

The Colorado Business Incubation Association (CBIA) is a 501c3 organization that provides a forum to share resources, information, and best practices among business incubators and their supporters throughout the state.

Membership is open to incubator professionals, educators/students, economic developers, service providers, and policy makers as well as individuals and organizations that support strengthening Colorado’s entrepreneurial environment.

Why join CBIA?

Membership offers both intangible and tangible benefits to all levels of members.. In addition to the tangible benefits listed below, your membership assists in funding CBIA activities that enhance public awareness of the importance of business incubation as an economic development tool.

Membership benefits include:

Your incubator name and brief description listed on the CBIA website.

• Discounted registration fees for CBIA Conferences (CBIA hosts a minimum of two conferences annually). Members also receive sponsorship opportunities for these conferences before such opportunities are offered to the general public. Be sure to check out the upcoming Summer 2010 Conference exploring the sopic of "Enhancing the Power of Colorado's Entrepreneurial Support Network through Collaboration".
• Technical assistance for communities interested in business incubation.
• Services provided by Affiliate Members/Service Providers listed on website, which gives your company exposure to all incubators throughout the state. (Note: only service providers referred by incubator managers are eligible for membership.)
• Opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors for CBIA with voting rights.

CBIA has four levels of membership: Membership List 2009

BUSINESS INCUBATORS $150/YEAR
These members include:

• Incubator directors/managers/staff
• Incubator clients and graduates

Membership is limited to four individuals per organization. Additional memberships are encouraged and may be added to the organization’s membership for an additional $50/per person.

NON- PROFIT PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS $150/YEAR
These members include:

• Non-profit organizations (economic development agencies, governmental agencies, technology transfer programs, etc.)
• Educational institutions
  Membership is limited to four individuals per organization. Additional memberships are encouraged and may be added to the organization’s membership for an additional $50/per person.

AFFILIATE MEMBERS $250/YEAR
These members include:

• Service Providers (examples of such entities may include but not be limited to law, accounting, public relations, insurance and executive search firm)
• Other for-profit entities that support the activities and processes of business incubators and economic development throughout the State of Colorado.

Membership is limited to four individuals per organization. Additional memberships are encouraged and may be added to the organization’s membership for an additional $50/per person.

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP $75/YEAR
Individuals who are, or would like to become, involved with business incubation and entrepreneurial support in Colorado.
